Q & A
Everything you need to know about the stay in Rome.
What is the dress code? +
Garden party chic. Think flowing, romantic, and comfortable enough for cobblestone paths. We encourage soft florals, linen suits, and anything that makes you feel like you belong in the Italian countryside. Please avoid white, ivory, or champagne.
Is food included? +
Yes! In addition to nightly meals (Welcome BBQ and Farewell Pizza) and all wedding-day accommodations, we will have a buffet breakfast included for all guests.
What is not included?
- Lunches: While breakfast and dinner are covered by the wedding packages and room rates, lunch is not included. Snacks and light meals are available to buy at the Bar Emporio throughout the day.
- Specific extra services: A gelato cart is available and other items like a donut wall or late-night snacks are available for an additional fee.
What should I wear to the Welcome BBQ on April 19? +
The Welcome BBQ theme is Something Blue Before I Do. Wear your best shade of blue. Think navy linen, dusty blue sundresses, powder blue blazers, or any hue of blue you love. Smart casual to cocktail attire works perfectly.
Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors? +
The ceremony will be held outdoors in the gardens of Casale Doria Pamphilj, a breathtaking 17th century estate in the Roman countryside. The reception dinner will move inside to the grand hall. April in Rome is typically warm and sunny with highs of 65 to 72°F.
Do I need a passport? Any visa info? +
Yes, make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond April 20, 2027. US citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days in Italy. Book flights and accommodations as early as possible. Check your government travel advisory site for the most current entry requirements.
How do I get to the Casale from the airport? +
Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) is your closest arrival point. A taxi or rideshare from the airport gets you to the villa in about 35 minutes. All guests are staying on site for the full stay so once you arrive, you are home.
Can I take photos during the ceremony? +
We are asking guests to keep the ceremony phone free so you can be fully present in the moment and so our photographer can capture you without screens in the way. Feel free to snap away during the cocktail hour and reception.
When should I book my flights? +
As soon as possible. Spring in Rome is peak travel season. We recommend booking by September 2026 at the latest. April in Italy is magical so we encourage you to arrive early or stay after and explore the city. Check our Things to Do page for our favorite spots.
Do I get a plus one? +
Plus ones are not included unless specifically listed on your invite. If you have any questions please reach out to us directly.
What is the RSVP deadline? +
Please RSVP by December 1, 2026. This gives us enough time to finalize catering, seating, and logistics with the venue. Head to the RSVP page to submit your response. We cannot wait to celebrate with you.
